Specific Building Site Inspection sectors

To be able to check engineer buildings completely hand near, special entrance techniques are required for many buildings. On the one hand, inspection equipment can be, this on the other hand, some buildings are testable only by specialist staff trained especially, however.
For these challenges some building inspectors have additional education at wood wing assemblies in the areas of rope supported techniques of working, engineer plunge and special examinations.

Rope-assisted working techniques

Among the qualified structural inspectors, the company also possesses trained rope access technicians with the FISAT certificate, and so also has the opportunity to provide its customers with industrial climbing (level 3) services.

The rope supported techniques of working offer us the possibility of also examining buildings in the areas which only can be with difficulty or not at all reached with conventional entrance technology. The execution of the work is carried out exclusively under use of a standardized special equipment. Moreover, the employees trained to the height worker receive an annual repetition instruction for the industry climbing.

The use of research divers

The inspection of components in underwater locations is carried out by civil engineers with the VFIB certificate for building inspection surveys and who are qualified and experienced research divers with documentation from the DGUV (the German Statutory Accident Insurance, civil engineering department, the examination commission for research divers). Specialised investigations in underwater locations are also a part of the range of services, for example residue material strength measurements of steel components and sampling from concrete, wood and steel.

We offer among others the following services in the area of sub-waters:

  • Head, simple and special examinations as well as damage analyses object-related at components made of concrete, steel, wood, masonry and composite making according to DIN 1076
  • Picture and video documentation, incl. live video transmission to the surface
  • Measurement work
  • Sampling
  • Scanning the waterreason with a 3D-Sonar
  • Ultrasound material strength measuring of ferromagnetic materials, such as bung walls or steel girders corroded strongly

Specialised testing for wooden structures

Inspections for wooden bridges and timber-frame structures in civil engineering and structural engineering will be carried out. Inspection of the components is carried out using the ultrasonic echo method. In this inspection, the supporting units will be investigated non-destructively for heart rot.  It is by using this measurement technique that a statement can be made about larger structural sections. The wooden surfaces will not be damaged or made dirty. Any areas of damage that are determined by this method can then be further investigated using the minimally destructive drill resistance measurement process. With this process, a statement can be made quickly about the amount of residual strength of the wood. The results will be represented in measurement graphs. The inspections and the evaluation of the results will be carried out by an inspection engineer with a proof of expertise in wood preservation.
